As a part of this mission:

- CLS monitors neighborhood agendas so we can match them to expertise and resources available at the University, turning the community's needs into practical student projects.
- CLS can provide orientation and background information to students who tackle community issues.
- CLS helps evaluate the variety of benefits in service learning projects.
