Service Learning Fellows
Our department provides a variety of services to assist you and your students before and throughout the semester. Possibilities include: creating appropriate community partnerships, conducting in-class orientations at the beginning of the semester, processing necessary forms, assisting and facilitating reflection processes, monitoring student projects throughout the semester, facilitating service learning evaluations, serving as a liaison to students and community partners, and providing on-campus faculty development opportunities.
The Service Learning Fellows will assist faculty by:
- Identify potential community- based partners for your class
- Clarify expectations about the process, product and deadlines
- Finalize plans in a "memo of understanding" for you, CLS and the community partner (including details about how CLS can help during the course with background information for students, orientation, etc.)
