College of Law Honor Committee

Potential violations of the College of Law’s Honor Code are referred to the College of Law Honor Committee. Academic honesty and minor Honor Code infractions are investigated and charged (if appropriate) by the Probable Cause Sub-Committee.

Law students charged with academic honesty violations can choose a hearing before the College of Law Honor Committee or the Student Honor Court. Both hearing bodies make a recommendation to the Appellate Board, with appeals to the Vice President for Student Affairs. Law students charged with minor infractions of the Honor Code can choose a hearing before the College of Law Honor Committee or the Committee on Student Conduct. The Honor Committee makes a recommendation to the Appellate Board with appeal to the Vice President for Student Affairs. The Committee on Student Conduct makes a recommendation to the Dean of Students, with appeal to the Vice President for Student Affairs (F.A.C. 6C1-4.0212).
