- Gatormania, Largest Summer Event For Freshmen, To Be Held July 11
As part of the University of Florida's Weeks of Welcome, Gatormania, the largest summer event for Summer B freshmen, is an outdoor carnival that focuses on showcasing the diverse cultures at the University will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2009 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the north lawn of the Reitz Union. Gatormania is intended to foster a sense of pride in being a Florida Gator and is open to all students. - Student Welcome Assembly Tabling Opportunities
As part of the annual Weeks of Welcome Program, MCDA will assist students with their transition to UF while promoting the diversity that exists here. If your department is interested in tabling at any welcome assemblies, submit an application by Monday, August 10. - Serve on the Multicultural & Diversity Affairs Staff
If you are currently looking for a work study position, or interested in volunteering in one of our areas (APAA, IBC, La Casita, LGBT) for Summer A or the 2009-10 school year, please submit an application. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis through July 24th. If you are interested, please complete the application form and return it to Mary Byrd in the Dean of Students Office (202 Peabody Hall) or via email at multicultural@dso.ufl.edu.
