General Information
The Institute of Hispanic-Latino Cultures serves to enhance and enrich the general understanding of and participation in the diversity of Hispanic/Latino Cultures. La Casita strives to provide a venue where people of similar cultures, values, customs and language can unite to share ideas and events with the University of Florida and the community.
The Institute of Hispanic-Latino Cultures, the first of its kind in the south eastern United States, was established in 1994 and has since provided a home away from home for Hispanic/Latino students. The Institute, known as La Casita, serves as a central station for over 40 Hispanic/Latino student organizations. We proudly invite students, faculty, staff, and community to learn more about the rich heritage of the Hispanic/Latino community. We welcome you to visit us and take advantage of all the La Casita has to offer!
