Peer - to - Peer Registration
Description: The Peer to Peer Mentor Program aims to make the transition into college life much smoother for incoming Hispanic-Latino students at the University of Florida. This semester long program for incoming freshmen and transfer students is designed to connect participants with campus resources, a peer support network, and opportunities for involvement with student organizations.
Students selected for this wonderful program will be matched with a mentor at the beginning of the fall semester. Mentors will be current Hispanic-Latino students who are active with La Casita and are leaders in their respective organizations.
P2P Mentee Role
- You will be matched with a Hispanic-Latino student leader who will serve as your “big brother/big sister” in helping you adjust to campus life
- Mentees will meet with their Mentor twice a month (a total of 2 hours). One of those meetings will be a one-on-one session, and the other will be a group activity.
Eligibility:
- Must be a first year or transfer student at UF
- Be able to make the volunteer commitment for the Fall semester
