- Amnesty International OUTfront- Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender human rights.
- Bisexual Resource Center- An international organization providing education about and support for bisexual and progressive issues.
- Campus Pride- A national online community and resource network committed to student leaders and campus organizations who work to create a safer campus environment free of homophobia, biphobia, transphobia, heterosexism and genderism at colleges and universities.
- COLAGE- An organization offering support and advocacy organization for children of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender parents.
- Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD)- The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) is dedicated to promoting and ensuring fair, accurate and inclusive representation of people and events in the media as a means of eliminating homophobia and discrimination based on gender identity and sexual orientation.
- The Gay & Lesbian National Hotline- The Gay & Lesbian National Hotline provides telephone and email peer-counseling, as well as factual information and local resources for cities and towns across the United States. Call the GLBT National Youth Talkline 1-800-246-PRIDE (1-800-246-7743) provides telephone and email peer-counseling.
- Gay, Lesbian, & Straight Education Network (GLSEN)- The Gay, Lesbian, & Straight Education Network (GLSEN) is the largest national organization bringing together gay and straight teachers, parents, students, counselors and other concerned citizens and youth workers for the purpose of taking action to end homophobia in our schools.
- Human Rights Campaign (HRC)- As America's largest gay and lesbian organization, the Human Rights Campaign provides a national voice on gay and lesbian issues. The Human Rights Campaign effectively lobbies Congress; mobilizes grassroots action in diverse communities; invests strategically to elect a fair-minded Congress; and increases public understanding through innovative education and communication strategies.
- Lambda Legal Defense and Education Fund- Lambda Legal is a national organization committed to achieving full recognition of the civil rights of lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, transgender people and those with HIV through impact litigation, education, and public policy work.
- Lambda 10 Project- The Lambda 10 Project - National Clearinghouse for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender Fraternity & Sorority Issues works to heighten the visibility of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender members of the college fraternity by serving as a clearinghouse for educational resources and educational materials related to sexual orientation and gender identity/expression as it pertains to the fraternity/sorority experience.
- National Black Justice Coalition (NBJC)- is a civil rights organization dedicated to empowering Black same-gender-loving, lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered people. The Coalition works with our communities and our allies for social justice, equality, and an end to racism and homophobia.
- National Consortium of Higher Education Resource Professionals- Lists web sites of LGBT Resources in Higher Education, professionally staffed LGBT college/university offices; information meetings & listserv; jobs available; campus climate reports, nondiscrimination policies.
- National Center for Transgender Equality is a non-profit social justice organization dedicated to advancing the equality of transgender people through advocacy, collaboration and empowerment.
- National Gay and Lesbian Task Force (NGLTF)- The first national lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) civil rights and advocacy organization and remains the movement's leading voice for freedom, justice, and equality. Excellent web resource on state laws and a variety of LGBT issues.

- Outproud.org- The National Coalition for Gay, Lesbian, and Bisexual Youth, rich with helpful advice for youth questioning their sexuality.
- Parents, Friends, and Families of LGBT (PFLAG)- PFLAG promotes the health and well-being of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender persons, their families and friends through: support, to cope with an adverse society; education, to enlighten an ill-informed public; and advocacy, to end discrimination and to secure equal civil rights.
- Queer Resources Directory- The Queer Resources Directory (QRD) is an electronic library with news clippings, political contact information, newsletters, essays, images, hyperlinks, and every other kind of information resource of interest to the GLBO community. Information is stored for the use of casual network users and serious researchers alike.
- Soc. Bi- The internet's open forum on bisexuality since 1991.
- The Transgender Law and Policy Institute is a non-profit organization dedicated to engaging in effective advocacy for transgender people in our society. The TLPI brings experts and advocates together to work on law and policy initiatives designed to advance transgender equality.
- The Trevor Project is a 24/7 suicide & crisis prevention helpline for gay and questioning youth.
