Connect, Engage, Experience with the Family Common Read
The Common Reading Program originally designed for our first-year students has now branched out to our family members too! You can join the discussion about this year’s Common Reading Book: The Devil’s Highway by Luis Alberto Urrea by taking part in our family book discussions throughout the fall semester.
Engage in your student’s first-year experience through this unique opportunity to discuss and participate with other parents and family members as well as UF staff and faculty. You and your student can enjoy this shared experience and take part in the ongoing campus dialogue among our first year students and the UF community.
Join us for our first book discussion on Friday, August 21st, immediately following New Student Convocation, at 11am in Emerson Alumni Hall (Room Warrington AB).
If you are interested in attending this discussion please RSVP to Jaime Baker at JaimeAB@dso.ufl.edu with your name and number of guests.

"The Common Reading Program perpetuates the spirit of the Gator Nation:
the successful interaction among students, faculty, and the community, whose
individual perspectives combine to form an inspired partnership."
Elizabeth Dow, First-Year Student
