Student Conduct Committee
Made up of faculty, staff and students from all over campus, this group hears all types of cases of alleged violations of the student honor code and student conduct code. Students apply and are interviewed and selected by staff in Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution and Student Government. Faculty members are nominated by the Faculty Senate committee on committees or can nominate themselves through the committee process. Most hearings will involve 7 - 8 conduct committee members. Hearings are chaired by an experienced member of the committee or a chancellor from the honor committee. The committee will hear all evidence, ask questions and make a recommendation on whether or not the student organization violated the student conduct code and if so, recommend appropriate sanctions to the Dean of Students.
