REQUIREMENTS
Applicant must:
- Be an undergraduate student that has filed for graduation for the semester in which the student is being considered for the award.
- Have an overall grade point average of 2.50 or above.
- Be in good standing with the University of Florida.
Award Applications must include:
- A signed application form.
- A one-page, typed, personal essay that highlights your leadership experiences at the University of Florida. The essay should be typed using a font no smaller than the 12 pt. Times New Roman font. Attention should be given to factors that will help the Selection Committee gain an understanding not only of the extent of your leadership experiences, but also of the quality and nature of such experiences.
- An Activity Resume documenting your leadership experiences in the following areas:
University-wide Leadership Interest Clubs/Organizations College/Departments Social Organizations Service Organizations Fine Arts/Performing Arts Leadership, Service, or Scholastic Religious Organizations Awards Other Student Publication Activities - Letters of Recommendation are encouraged; however, no more than three letters should be submitted.
The Selection Committee reserves the right to determine whether or not an award will be given each semester as well as the number of candidates selected. In addition, the Committee may require, as necessary, interviews with candidates if specific questions or issues arise.
