Presidential Service Award
The Presidential Service Award is intended to recognize undergraduate and graduate University of Florida students who have dedicated their time and efforts while at the University to promoting social justice, community awareness, and civic engagement on campus and in the community. Servant-leaders are the catalyst for social change and community improvement. The Presidential Service Award is a chance to acknowledge those students who have made outstanding efforts towards community service and who often go unrecognized and unrewarded for their selfless labor.
Eligible Applicants will:
- Be undergraduate or graduate students at the University of Florida.
- Complete 100 hours of community service during the 2008 - 2009 academic year. Hours for volunteer activities prior must be recorded and submitted by February 27, 2009.
- Please include a list of references for your community service activities.
Selected recipients will be recognized at a formal awards ceremony at President Machen's House on April 7, 2009.
Please complete all required information and return all application materials to Steven Vutsinas in the Center for Leadership and Service located in the Dean of Students Office (202 Peabody Hall) by 5:00pm on February 27, 2009.
