How do I register for National Tests?
The University of Florida is a site for several testing companies to administer the MCAT, LSAT, GRE (subject areas only), PAXIS, TOEFL, OKAP, CLEP, and a host of other entrance and certification examinations. Registration bulletins for most of these exams are located in 1012 Turlington Hall or may be accessed at the Educational Testing Service Website, www.ets.org.
Where do I go for placement testing?
Placement testing exams required for certain courses are administered as the SAT II. More information about these tests can be accessed on-line at: www.at.ufl.edu/testing/placementtesting.php. These exams are offered in conjunction with registration periods and are noted in the schedule of courses, as well as departmental bulletin boards. Some of the tests are scored locally and within 24 hours the results will be uploaded to your electronic transcript. These scores are not valid at other institutions and the cost to take them is $20 per exam.
Can students with disabilities receive accommodations on placement tests and the CLAST?
Testing accommodations are available for students with disabilities. Students should contact the Disability Resource Center for more information.
