Florida Prepaid Tuition Program
No need to show University Financial Services the Prepaid ID card; Florida Prepaid can be used during the summer and will automatically begin your first semester in attendance at UF; Contact University Financial Services by the fee payment deadline if you DON’T want Prepaid billed for that semester.

Student Billing
Billed the 10th of each month for various UF charges & payments due first of the following month; A financial hold will be placed if payment is not received on time – this hold prevents registration, grades not released, football tickets from being issued; Payments received are applied to the oldest debt first.

Deferments
Keep Student Financial Affairs informed of all outside scholarships; Receipt of any financial awards (scholarships, loans, or grants) automatically establishes a tuition deferment (you are not held to the second Friday deadline in case your awards are late arriving); Contact the Department of Housing and Residence Education about deferment for resident housing rent (info included with Fall invoice); Contact the UF Bookstore at the Reitz Union about deferment for bookstore purchase.

Disbursement of Student Financial Awards
Automatic electronic disbursements begin the second night of classes (loans); scholarships and grants are usually disbursed after drop/add period ends; Debts to UF (tuition, deferred housing, deferred bookstore purchases) are deducted and paid first. Any remaining balance is sent by EFT direct deposit to student’s bank account or by check to local Gainesville address if student has not signed up for EFT; Bright Futures is not available until the first fall semester a student is enrolled (not paid in the summer to entering freshmen).
