About Service Ambassadors
Mission Statement:
Service Ambassadors constantly work to promote active citizenship among University of Florida students in the Gainesville community. We plan events that educate students about prevalent issues in order to remind individuals of their civic responsibility and to inform them of the opportunities available to those who choose to make a difference. Members serve as the ambassadors of community service by unifying those involved in volunteerism and presenting individuals with ways to bring their service to the next level. Service Ambassadors are the official ambassador of UF's Center for Leadership and Service.
Service ambassador GOALS:
- To serve as a liaison between on-campus students, student organizations, and off-campus volunteering organizations in order to provide students with a variety of volunteering opportunities and experiences
- To educate UF students about global social issues and ways they can impact change in the local Gainesville community
Requirements as a Service Ambassador:
- Attend weekly meetings.
- Attend the Service Ambassador retreat on October 4th
- Work within a committee for a specific program (while still having the opportunity to work on all of the Service Ambassador programs).
