2008 Committee Information

The Women’s Leadership Council and the Dean of Students Office are hoping to select a mature and dedicated group of students to coordinate Women’s History Month 2008. Members of the Women’s History Month Committee will provide the overall direction for the solicitation and marketing of events throughout Women’s History Month in March. The committee will be under the direction of Women’s Leadership Council members: the Women’s History Month Overall Director, the WHM Publicity Director, and the WHM Programming Director.

Selection to the Women’s History Month Committee is both a unique honor and a rewarding opportunity for personal and professional growth. Committee members fulfill the mission of Women’s History Month through their strong commitment to developing and marketing purposeful WHM programs for the UF community. Selection Timeline

Length of Position
Once selected, committee members will be expected to attend all committee meetings, socials and Women’s History Month events. Committee members will provide support before, during, and after Women’s History Month in March.

Meeting dates are as follows:
10/11, 10/18, 10/25, 11/01, 11/08, 11/15, 11/29, 01/10, 01/17, 01/24, 01/31, 02/07, 02/14, 02/21, 02/28, 03/06, 03/20, 03/27, 04/03

Committee Members are also required to attend the Women’s History Month Awards Reception at the Presidents House.

All meetings will take place from 6 pm to 7 pm. (Location TBA)

Between 8 and 12 committee members will be selected for the Women’s History Month 2008 Committee. Those selected will be active members of the committee for the 2007-2008 academic year.
